Abstract

The dynamic nature of human health requires analytical approaches that account for multiple transitions occurring throughout the lifespan. This research develops a multistate analytical framework to investigate health trajectories from early adulthood through old age. The model captures transitions among various health states while incorporating individual characteristics, behavioral factors, and socioeconomic influences. Using longitudinal datasets, transition probabilities and expected durations within each health state are estimated to identify factors associated with disease progression and recovery. The results demonstrate that multistate modeling improves the understanding of complex health processes and provides more informative predictions for healthcare decision-making. The framework supports the development of personalized intervention strategies and strengthens public health planning by identifying opportunities to reduce disease burden and extend healthy life expectancy.
