Withdrawal of Manuscripts

Withdrawal Policy

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies in Human Rights and Science (JMSHRAS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and scholarly integrity. Authors are expected to submit manuscripts only when they are fully prepared to participate in the peer-review and publication process.

1. Manuscript Withdrawal Before Peer Review

Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before the peer-review process begins. The corresponding author must submit a formal withdrawal request by email, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal.

2. Manuscript Withdrawal During Peer Review

Once a manuscript has entered the peer-review process, withdrawal requests will be considered only under exceptional circumstances, including:

  • Significant errors discovered in the manuscript.
  • Ethical concerns regarding the research.
  • Authorship disputes that cannot be resolved promptly.
  • Duplicate or accidental submission.

The corresponding author must submit a signed withdrawal request on behalf of all co-authors, explaining the reasons for withdrawal.

3. Manuscript Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal of an accepted manuscript is strongly discouraged because substantial editorial and reviewer resources have already been invested in the evaluation process.

Requests for withdrawal after acceptance will be considered only in exceptional cases and must be supported by valid academic, ethical, or legal reasons. Approval of such requests is at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

4. Withdrawal Procedure

To request withdrawal, the corresponding author must provide:

  • Manuscript title.
  • Manuscript identification number (if assigned).
  • Full names of all authors.
  • Detailed reason for withdrawal.
  • Written confirmation that all co-authors agree to the withdrawal.

A manuscript will be considered withdrawn only after the author receives written confirmation from the Editorial Office. Authors should not assume that a manuscript has been withdrawn until official confirmation is issued.

5. Unethical Withdrawal

The following practices are considered unethical:

  • Requesting withdrawal after receiving favorable peer-review comments solely to submit the manuscript elsewhere.
  • Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals.
  • Providing false or misleading reasons for withdrawal.

JMSHRAS reserves the right to reject future submissions from authors found to have engaged in unethical withdrawal practices.

6. Published Articles

Once an article has been formally published, it becomes part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot be withdrawn. In cases involving serious errors, ethical misconduct, plagiarism, data fabrication, or legal issues, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction in accordance with internationally accepted publishing ethics guidelines.

7. Editorial Decision

All withdrawal requests are reviewed individually by the Editorial Board. The Editor-in-Chief's decision regarding withdrawal requests shall be final.

Author Acknowledgement: By submitting a manuscript to JMSHRAS, authors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Withdrawal Policy.
