Abstract

Inquiry-based learning encourages students to investigate real-world social issues through questioning, research, and collaborative problem-solving. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of inquiry-centered instructional approaches in social science education. It examines how active learning strategies improve critical thinking, evidence-based reasoning, and independent learning. The study also discusses challenges related to teacher preparedness, curriculum implementation, and assessment practices. The findings demonstrate that inquiry-based learning promotes deeper conceptual understanding and meaningful classroom participation.
